Every first Sunday of July, the Union Commerciale Rochettoise brings the streets of La Rochette to life with its Grande Brocante Vide-grenier. Gathering nearly 200 sellers, this event is one of the largest in the Gelon valley, attracting visitors from across Savoie and neighbouring Isère.
Place Giabiconi, heart of the event
The place Giabiconi, the true nerve centre of La Rochette, hosts the main stalls. The market spills into the surrounding streets, creating a varied browsing experience. You'll find everything: antiques, vintage items, old crockery, retro clothing, second-hand books, toys, old tools, vinyl records and furniture.
La Rochette, a small town between Bauges and Belledonne
La Rochette is a charming little town in the Combe de Savoie, midway between Chambéry and Albertville. Overlooked by its medieval castle perched on a rocky outcrop, it provides a picturesque setting between the Bauges massif to the west and Belledonne to the east.
A day of good cheer
Doors open at 6am for early risers and the event runs until 4.30pm. A refreshment bar and food stalls are available throughout the day.

The Great Flea Market and Car Boot Sale of La Rochette returns on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in the city center (Place Giabiconi), in La Rochette (Valgelon-La Rochette, Savoie). Organized by the Rochettoise Commercial and Craft Union, this 23rd edition brings together private and professional exhibitors for a great day of bargain hunting.
An unmissable event for bargain hunters from the Gelon valley, the Great Flea Market and Car Boot Sale of La Rochette occupies the city center and Place Giabiconi on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 7 AM to 4:30 PM (exhibitor setup from 6 AM).
Around 150 private and professional exhibitors offer antiques, vintage items, crockery, clothes, books, toys, and furniture. Admission is free for visitors. Light refreshments and a drink stand on site.
Annual event organized by the Rochettoise Commercial and Craft Union (UCAR).
