About Grambois May Day
Every 1st May for over twenty years, Grambois has hosted its flea market in the heart of the old village, along the streets that served as the setting for the film Jean de Florette. Organized by the APEG parents' association, this event gathers between 100 and 200 exhibitors in one of the most beautiful villages of the South Luberon.
A legendary South Luberon flea market
The Grambois May Day flea market is not just a community event: it is an essential spring appointment in Provence. Organized for over twenty years by the APEG parents' association, it takes advantage of the May 1st bank holiday to transform the old village into a huge bargain-hunting trail. Between 100 and 200 exhibitors take over the central square, the Remparts climb and the alleys.
The setting of Jean de Florette
Grambois is world-famous among cinephiles: Claude Berri filmed his 1986 adaptation of Marcel Pagnol's novels here. The village has kept its Provençal character intact — old doors, shaded squares, fountains, and the fortified 11th-century Notre-Dame-de-Beauvoir church.
What you will find
The diversity of stalls guarantees variety: locals emptying attics, semi-professional dealers from the Pays d'Aigues, occasional artisans. You will find Provençal furniture, antique tableware, linens, farming tools, books, vintage toys, clothing, knick-knacks.
Grambois May Day — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Grambois May Day flea market will take place on Friday 1 May 2026 in the old village, with the central square and the 5 montée des Remparts as focal points. Organized by APEG, the event expects 100 to 200 exhibitors. Community bar, food trucks, spring atmosphere in one of the South Luberon's most beautiful villages.
