Over 100 exhibitors in a patrimonial bastide of the Pays d'Aigues
La Bastide-des-Jourdans is one of the oldest bastides of the South Luberon, founded in the 13th century as a rural stronghold. Its village centre organized around a straight main street, characteristic of medieval bastides, gives it unique character. The Patrimoine Bastidan association organizes its grand flea market here each spring.
Created to preserve and promote the architectural and historical heritage of the village, it runs restoration, outreach and heritage mediation actions all year round. Proceeds directly support local heritage preservation projects.
The format is ambitious: over a hundred exhibitors take over the village centre and main street. Locals, semi-professional dealers from the South Luberon, antique dealers: the diversity guarantees variety. Provençal furniture, tableware, antique linens, farming tools, books, toys, vintage clothing, records.
Several food trucks offer world cuisines, Provençal specialities and artisanal drinks. Festive atmosphere, families picnicking under the plane trees.
