About Fêtes de la Madelon Flea Market
Each June, the Fêtes de la Madelon turn Fontenay-sous-Bois into a three-day popular festival. At its heart, a massive flea market with nearly 400 vendors reserved for local residents spreads across Boulevard Gallieni and surrounding streets. Concerts, fairground rides, entertainment and great finds: a unique event in Val-de-Marne.
The Fêtes de la Madelon – Fontenay-sous-Bois's Summer Celebration
Each June, Fontenay-sous-Bois hosts one of the most vibrant municipal festivals in the Val-de-Marne: the Fêtes de la Madelon. Named after the famous French wartime song, this three-day event fills the town hall park and surrounding streets with concerts, performances, children's entertainment and, at its centre, one of the largest residents-only flea markets in eastern Paris.
~400 Vendors Across Multiple Streets
The flea market spreads across Boulevard Gallieni and several adjacent streets over the Saturday and Sunday. Stalls of 4 metres cost €10 per day and are reserved for Fontenay-sous-Bois residents only. Registrations open 10 May on mybrocante.fr or brocabrac.fr.
Three Days of Culture and Fun
Beyond the flea market, the festival features live music stages, youth performances, sports activities and thematic debates. The Friday evening kicks off with a free outdoor concert at the municipal stadium.

The 2026 Fêtes de la Madelon run from 13 to 15 June in Fontenay-sous-Bois. The flea market takes place on Saturday and Sunday along Boulevard Gallieni and surrounding streets. ~400 spaces reserved for local residents; registrations on mybrocante.fr from 10 May.
