The 2025 edition of the Vide-Grenier de Vitrolles was held on May 1st in this town in the Bouches-du-Rhône, nestled between the Étang de Berre and Marseille-Provence Airport. Under the benevolent gaze of the Rocher de Vitrolles and its historic Tour Sarrasine, bargain hunters and private sellers met for a day of friendly flea marketing. Crockery, books, clothing, toys, and trinkets changed hands in a relaxed, family atmosphere, typical of Provençal car boot sales.
The Vide-Grenier de Vitrolles brought together many exhibitors and visitors in May 2025 in this dynamic commune of the Bouches-du-Rhône. Located at the crossroads between Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, Vitrolles offered its unique setting for this popular treasure hunting day. The Rocher, with its 10th-century Tour Sarrasine and its Chapelle Notre-Dame de Vie, served as a majestic backdrop to the stalls lined up in the town's streets.
Individuals brought out the contents of their cellars and attics: Provençal crockery, books and comics, clothing for the whole family, children's toys, small furniture, tools, and decorative items. Free entry allowed a large public to enjoy this event, from local families to seasoned bargain hunters from neighboring towns like Marignane, Rognac, and Les Pennes-Mirabeau.
The day also provided an opportunity to rediscover the old village of Vitrolles, its medieval streets, and the Saint-Gérard-Tenque church with its Byzantine bell tower, before extending the walk towards the shores of the Étang de Berre and the Salins du Lion.
