The Vide-Grenier de Villebois-Lavalette is held every year in March on the Champ de foire, a vast esplanade located at the foot of the medieval castle that overlooks the town. With 100 to 200 exhibitors, this event is one of the most important in southern Charente and attracts bargain hunters from all over the department and neighboring Périgord.

The tradition of the Foire des Rameaux

The car boot sale is part of the tradition of the Foire des Rameaux (Palm Sunday Fair), a historic event that enlivens Villebois-Lavalette every spring. This fair, linked to Easter festivities, combines a gastronomic and craft market, activities for children, and a flea market. The Champ de foire then becomes the scene of a large popular festival where locals and visitors gather.
