Spring car boot sale on the Place des Arènes in Riscle, in the heart of the Saint Mont vineyards
Riscle (32400), a small Gascon town nestled in a meander of the Adour, hosts a car boot sale every spring on its Place des Arènes. This square, dominated by the bullrings used for Landes races during local festivals, transforms into a large open-air flea market where individuals come to sell their superfluous items.
The Place des Arènes offers a clear and shaded space, ideal for exhibitors. Stalls are set up around the bullring, offering visitors a pleasant stroll between the stands. You can find everything: clothes, shoes, toys, board games, books, crockery, trinkets, small appliances, tools, garden furniture, and all sorts of objects. The fee is €2 per linear meter, with the possibility of renting tables for €2 each.
Riscle is a town of about 1,700 inhabitants located at the confluence of the Adour and the Sousson canal. The municipality is part of the Saint Mont AOC appellation and is at the crossroads between the Gers and the Landes. Its architectural heritage, with its church and half-timbered houses, testifies to a long Gascon history. The Riscle bullrings are one of the main venues for Landes bullfighting in the department.
The Place des Arènes car boot sale is a relaxed, family-friendly event that attracts visitors from Riscle and neighboring towns. Refreshments and food on-site allow you to extend your morning of treasure hunting. It's also an opportunity to stroll through the streets of Riscle, enjoy the charm of this Gascon village, and discover the vineyards of the Saint Mont appellation nearby. A friendly spring event not to be missed on the banks of the Adour.
