The spring car boot sale by the Festival Committee in the heart of the village, by the Ariège river
Every spring, the Festival Committee of Lacroix-Falgarde organizes its traditional car boot sale in the Ramier district, a shaded and pleasant area located at 19 rue Gaston Phoebus. Around 100 exhibitors – mostly individuals – offer furniture, clothing, toys, crockery, books, and decorative items at attractive prices. The event takes place from 9 am to 4 pm and attracts many visitors from neighboring communes and Toulouse.
Lacroix-Falgarde is a charming commune of over 2,000 inhabitants nestled in the Ariège valley, a few kilometers south of Toulouse. The village boasts a remarkable heritage: its 16th and 17th-century castle, the Gleyzette chapel, an old iron bridge inaugurated in 1903, and the remains of the Pontoise mill. The Ramier site, by the river, offers an ideal bucolic setting for strolling among the stalls while enjoying the landscape.
Beyond bargain hunting, the Lacroix-Falgarde car boot sale is above all a moment of village conviviality. A refreshment stand offers cold drinks and light refreshments, while family entertainment punctuates the day. Regulars know to arrive early in the morning to find the best items. Parking is available at the football stadium car park (rue Montségur) or along the chemin de Castelviel.
Stalls are reserved with the Festival Committee. The regulations allow for only one vehicle per stall; trailers and trucks are not permitted. Entry is free for visitors, which encourages strong attendance in the morning.
