Every year in April, the support committee of the Diwan Kemperle school organizes its swap meet in Quimperlé (29300). This popular and friendly event is held in the Leclerc parking lot, rue de Pont-Aven, an easily accessible space for everyone. Private and professional exhibitors meet to offer their second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, records, trinkets, and furniture.

Entry is a symbolic €1 for visitors, with the funds raised contributing to the financing of the school's activities. The swap meet is also an opportunity for the Breton community and supporters of Breton language education to come together in a warm atmosphere.

Diwan, education in the Breton language

Diwan is a network of associative schools that teach in Breton immersion from kindergarten. Founded in 1977, this movement now has schools throughout Brittany, from kindergarten to high school. The Diwan school in Quimperlé – “Skol Diwan Kemperle” – is part of this network and relies on the active support of families and the local community to operate.

Organizing a swap meet is a concrete and festive way to raise funds while creating connections between families, teachers, and local residents. The event attracts hundreds of visitors each year, eager to find bargains and support a cause close to their hearts.
