Vide-Grenier de Pourcieux

In June 2025, the Vide-Grenier de Pourcieux enlivened the village square, under the century-old plane trees of this Provençal village nestled at the foot of Mont Aurélien, on the eastern slope of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Private sellers offered visitors a wide selection of second-hand items: clothing, tableware, toys, books, trinkets, tools, and small furniture.

The atmosphere was family-friendly and relaxed, typical of village car boot sales in the "Provence Verte" region. Free entry attracted treasure hunters from Aix-en-Provence, Saint-Maximin, and neighboring towns at the foothills of Sainte-Victoire and Mont Aurélien. Some visitors extended their day with a walk along the Arc river or a session of Vélorail on the old railway line.

Pourcieux, a former relay on the Aurelian Way, offered its authentic Provençal setting for this day of treasure hunting. The village, surrounded by vineyards producing wines under the AOC Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire appellation, confirmed its role as a place for life and encounters for residents and visitors alike.
