About Pertain Flea Market

The Pertain Flea Market is held on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026 in this small Santerre village south-east of Amiens. A two-day event, rare at this rural scale, it gathers private sellers and bargain hunters for a complete weekend of outdoor brocante. Free admission, convivial atmosphere typical of Picard réderies, on-site refreshments.

A two-day flea market

Pertain, a village of about 500 inhabitants near Chaulnes in eastern Somme, holds its annual flea market over a whole weekend, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026. This extended format, uncommon among village réderies, lets exhibitors set up comfortably and bargain hunters take their time. Private sellers from the Santerre make up most stalls, with a few semi-professional dealers and house-clearance offers.

A generous bric-a-brac

Over two days, the offering expands and diversifies. You'll find the classic Picard réderie mix: rustic furniture, faience tableware, old tools, embroidered linen, paperbacks, 1960s-80s toys, vinyl records, trinkets, postcards and second-hand clothes. Some exhibitors use the weekend to offer genuine house-clearance deals, with whole furniture sets and sizeable lots — rare chances for seasoned hunters.

A village-weekend atmosphere

The pace is that of a village event. Saturday is quieter, with early-bird hunters and exhibitors settling in. Sunday reaches peak attendance: families, visitors from neighbouring villages, bargain hunters from Amiens, Péronne and Roye all converge. A drinks stand run by the organising committee serves beverages, fries, pancakes and sausages. Residents willingly take part in this late-summer celebration.

Pertain and the eastern Santerre

The village belongs to the Santerre, a farming plain stretching between the Somme and Oise. Landscapes are marked by large wheat and beetroot fields, dotted with village churches rebuilt after the Great War. Pertain is reached from Amiens via the RN29 (about 45 km) or from Péronne via the D1017 (15 km). The A1 exit Chaulnes provides direct motorway access.
