Grand street sale, flea market and car boot sale in the town center of Commercy, city of the Madeleine
Every spring, the sub-prefecture of the Meuse hosts its street sale-flea market-car boot sale in the town center streets. Organized by the Union of Fairs and Markets of Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Meuse, this event brings together about a hundred exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, for a whole day of treasure hunting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Commercy is a city rich in history, dominated by its imposing Stanislas Castle, former residence of King Stanislas Leszczynski of Poland. The city is world-renowned for its pastry specialty, the Commercy madeleine, immortalized by Marcel Proust. Strolling through the streets of Commercy during the street sale is also an opportunity to discover remarkable architectural heritage along the Meuse.
The Commercy street sale offers a wide range of goods: flea market items, clothing, toys, books, trinkets, tableware, and collectibles. The friendly atmosphere and attractive prices make it a popular event for residents of Commercy and surrounding towns. Refreshments and food on site allow for a pleasant extension of the day.
