A flea market in the Selle valley

Lœuilly is a village of around 700 inhabitants in the Selle valley, a tranquil tributary of the Somme. One of the greenest corners of the department, with fishing ponds, old mills, wet meadows and woods.

A village-run event

Like many Somme events, the flea market is organised by village volunteers. The scale is modest, but the welcome makes the difference.

A typical rural variety

Stalls offer the usual range: clothes, toys, books, crockery, small furniture, garden tools, fishing gear (the region is famous for its ponds), vinyls, old kitchen utensils.

Beyond the flea market, Lœuilly offers a Saint-Martin church, a restored mill, shaded ponds and hiking trails. The Selle valley is a haven of calm prized by anglers and walkers.
