Flea market at the Fête du Vieux Val in the Coin quarter of Val-d'Isère
The Fête du Vieux Val flea market is an iconic summer event in Val-d'Isère, held every July in the historic Coin quarter. Reserved for non-professional residents, it offers an authentic break in this world-famous ski resort.
The Coin quarter, the true historic heart of Val-d'Isère, is home to the oldest village houses with their stone-slab roofs, carved wooden balconies and traditional barns. At 1,850 metres altitude, exhibitors set up their stalls along cobbled lanes in a postcard-perfect setting.
With sixty to seventy exhibitors, the flea market offers an eclectic selection: ski and mountain gear, technical clothing, books, toys, kitchenware, chalet furniture and ornaments of all kinds. Val-d'Isère's character means high-quality outdoor equipment is regularly found at very attractive prices.
Take the opportunity to explore Val-d'Isère's heritage: the 11th-century Church of Saint-Bernard-de-Menthon, hiking trails towards the Col de l'Iseran — Europe's highest road — and the magnificent landscapes of the Vanoise National Park.
The Fête du Vieux Val flea market takes place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Val-d'Isère, in the area of the old bus station (Avenue Olympique), from 9 AM to 6 PM. Around 60 to 70 exhibitors, exclusively non-professional residents of the village, clear out their attics: antiques, second-hand goods, flea market items, used objects, clothes, toys, and trinkets. Entry is free for bargain hunters.
A highlight of the Fête du Vieux Val, the flea market gathers residents of Val-d'Isère every summer who come to browse and sell in a friendly atmosphere in the heart of the Savoie resort. Pitches (3m x 2m) are reserved for non-professionals from the village and cost 10€, upon registration at the Val-d'Isère Tourist Office.
The flea market is part of the broader program of the Fête du Vieux Val (fair, meal, ball and fireworks, parade of floats), organized by the association Les Pics à Bouic.
