For over twenty-five years, the village of Ville-en-Vermois has organized its famous Fête à la Charlotte, an original event that combines a car boot sale with a culinary celebration centered around the charlotte, a classic French pastry dessert. Parc de la Garenne, surrounding the multi-purpose hall, hosts around 110 private exhibitors and numerous visitors from the entire Nancy metropolitan area and beyond each year.

A Car Boot Sale in a Green Setting

Parc de la Garenne provides an ideal setting for this outdoor car boot sale. Stands are set up from 7 am around the multi-purpose hall, in a pleasant and well-maintained green space. Visitors browse through stalls offering second-hand items, clothing, toys, books, trinkets, tableware, and various finds, all in a festive and friendly atmosphere. The park has a large free car park and designated areas for people with reduced mobility, making access easy for everyone.

Seamstresses' Market and Activities

Alongside the outdoor car boot sale, the multi-purpose hall hosts the Puces des couturières (Seamstresses' Market), a specialized market for fabrics, threads, buttons, patterns, and creative hobby supplies. A children's funfair complements the activities of this family day. On-site catering offers gourmet specialties: wood-fired flammekueche, sausages and fries, and crêpes, accompanied by a well-stocked refreshment stand.

Ville-en-Vermois, Between Nancy and Saintois

Ville-en-Vermois is a commune located south of the Nancy metropolitan area, on the edge of Vermois and Saintois. This residential village, served by an SNCF train station, offers a pleasant living environment between rural spaces and urban proximity. The Fête à la Charlotte has become the commune's flagship event, contributing to its identity and reputation throughout the Grand Nancy metropolis.

Information for Exhibitors

Pitches for the car boot sale are offered at a price of €10 for 5 linear meters, in increments of 5 meters. The event runs from 7 am to 6 pm. It is recommended to register in advance with the organizers to secure your spot.
