50 to 100 exhibitors at the hamlet of Courenc, last Sunday of May, with food truck and wood-fired bread
Every last Sunday of May, the hamlet of Courenc in Beaux hosts its annual car boot sale organized by the association Les Courencois. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors set up along the Chemin de la Rama to offer flea market items, antiques, and second-hand goods. The event is distinguished by its authentic rural setting, its food truck, and the sale of wood-fired bread, a local specialty highly appreciated by visitors.
Nestled in the Haute-Loire countryside, the hamlet of Courenc in Beaux is the setting, every last Sunday of May, for a human-sized car boot sale carefully organized by the association Les Courencois. Along the Chemin de la Rama, between 50 and 100 exhibitors set up to offer their treasures to bargain hunters from the region.
The event stands out for its authentic atmosphere and its integration into the life of the hamlet. The exhibitors, mostly individuals, offer an eclectic selection: antique tableware and trinkets, books and magazines, clothes and shoes, tools and garden equipment, furniture, and decorative objects. The registration fee is 1 euro per linear meter, accessible and fair for all participants.
What makes the Courenc car boot sale truly unique is the sale of wood-fired bread, baked according to peasant tradition. This specialty alone attracts many gourmet visitors who take the opportunity to do their shopping. A food truck complements the catering offer, allowing exhibitors and visitors alike to enjoy refreshments throughout the day in a festive and relaxed atmosphere.
Founded by the inhabitants of the hamlet, the association Les Courencois passionately organizes this annual event. The objective is twofold: to create a moment of collective life for the inhabitants of the hamlet and its surroundings, and to promote Courenc beyond the borders of the municipality of Beaux. Volunteers are fully invested in logistics, reception, and entertainment to ensure each edition is a success.
The commune of Beaux, in Haute-Loire, offers a green and peaceful setting, typical of the Velay landscapes. Its hamlets scattered in the countryside maintain a dynamic associative life, of which the Courenc car boot sale is one of the most appreciated events. The region is also ideal for hiking and discovering the Auvergne rural heritage.
The car boot sale is held on Chemin de la Rama, hamlet of Courenc, 43200 Beaux. Exhibitor fee: €1/linear meter. Access is from Beaux-bourg or from Monistrol-sur-Loire. For registration information, contact Les Courencois via local networks.
