In June, when the good weather settles in, the village of Cormost (10800) in the Aube opens its doors to its annual car boot sale. This summer event has become a much-anticipated gathering for locals and bargain hunters from all over the area.
Cormost is a rural commune in the Aube, in a landscape of hedgerows and forests characteristic of the south of the department. This green, calm, and relaxing setting gives the car boot sale an atmosphere of relaxation and serenity conducive to browsing among the stalls. The month of June, with its long sunny days, is ideal for this type of outdoor event.
Private sellers set up their stalls to offer a multitude of items: adult and children's clothing, toys and board games, dishes and kitchenware, books and magazines, tools and garden equipment, knick-knacks and decorative objects. Each seller brings their own story through the items they offer, making each car boot sale unique.
The Cormost car boot sale, like many of these rural events, is above all a village festival. Local associations get involved to create a warm atmosphere, usually with a refreshment stand and light catering for participants. It's an opportunity to reconnect, chat with neighbors, and spend a pleasant day outdoors.
The Cormost car boot sale is held every year in June in the commune. Free entry for visitors. Information for seller registration with the town hall or local associations.
