Every first Sunday of June, the Association Sportive de Barberaz (ASB) transforms the avenue du Stade into a vast open-air flea market. The Barberaz vide-grenier is a popular event for residents of the Chambéry area who come in large numbers to enjoy a day of bargain hunting and socialising.

120 sellers in the heart of Barberaz

Around 120 sellers set up their stalls along the avenue, offering a wide range of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, crockery, small furniture, ornaments, vinyl records and many other finds. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, perfect for browsing between stalls and negotiating bargains from 8am to 5pm.

A dynamic commune on Chambéry's doorstep

Barberaz is a residential commune just south-east of Chambéry, at the foot of the Chartreuse massif. The stadium area is easily accessible from Chambéry city centre and offers a pleasant, leafy setting for this event.

An event supporting local sport

Proceeds from this car boot sale go to the Association Sportive de Barberaz, which provides sporting activities for local residents throughout the year. A refreshment stand and food stalls are available on site.
