Annual car boot sale in Chéronvilliers, village in the Pays d'Ouche, Eure
Every late July, the village of Chéronvilliers hosts its annual car boot sale in the Pays d'Ouche, a hedged farmland area in the south of Eure. This rural event brings together private sellers clearing out their attics and cellars, and bargain hunters looking for good deals in this preserved corner of the Norman countryside.
Chéronvilliers is a rural commune in Eure located in the Pays d'Ouche, on the borders of the Norman bocage and the Orne Perche. This area of forests and wet meadows, crossed by small fish-filled rivers, is one of the lesser-known but most authentic regions of Normandy. Villages in the Pays d'Ouche, like Chéronvilliers, have preserved a rural way of life that local flea markets highlight.
The Chéronvilliers car boot sale offers crockery, furniture, clothing, toys, garden tools, books, and various knick-knacks. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, in the tradition of country events. Prices charged by private sellers are often very modest, making it a popular event for local bargain hunters.
From Rugles (27250), take the D830 south towards L'Aigle, then join Chéronvilliers via secondary roads. From Breteuil (27160), head southwest.
Free parking in the village.
