The 2025 edition of the Vide-Grenier de Carry-le-Rouet was held in June in this seaside resort on the Côte Bleue, at the start of the Mediterranean summer. Private sellers and bargain hunters from the Bouches-du-Rhône gathered in the town center of this coastal commune, a stone's throw from the marina and the calanques. Crockery, books, clothing, toys, and trinkets animated the stalls of this popular car boot sale, in a relaxed Provençal atmosphere.
In June 2025, the Vide-Grenier de Carry-le-Rouet took advantage of the first fine days of summer to bring together exhibitors and visitors in the town center of this seaside resort on the Côte Bleue. The commune, classified as a Tourist Resort and nicknamed the Pearl of the Côte Bleue, offered an exceptional Mediterranean setting for this day of outdoor bargain hunting.
The stalls offered the characteristic variety of Provençal car boot sales: Provençal crockery and pottery, books and records, summer clothing and accessories, toys, decorative trinkets, and small furniture. Between two finds, visitors could stroll to the marina with its 600 berths, head down to the calanques, or admire the Viaduc des Eaux Salées, a century-old structure on the Marseille-Miramas railway line.
Carry-le-Rouet, the commune where Fernandel had his villa 'L'Oustaou de la Mar' built in 1939, retains an authentic charm despite its status as a popular destination. The Oursinades in February, the Carro-Carry foot race, and the fireworks on August 15th mark the rhythm of the year in this small town of 6,000 inhabitants nestled between pine forests and the Mediterranean. The June car boot sale is part of this festive and friendly tradition.
