28th edition of the car boot sale organized by Amicale Buffonnaise La Bisfons, in the heart of the village of Buffon
For nearly three decades, the Amicale Buffonnaise La Bisfons has organized an annual car boot sale in the heart of Buffon, a small village in Côte-d'Or located a few kilometers from Montbard. Now in its 28th edition, this event demonstrates the associative dynamism of this Burgundian town and the attachment of its inhabitants to this summer tradition.
Buffon owes its name to the famous naturalist Georges-Louis Leclerc, comte de Buffon, who had the Grande Forge, a remarkable historical monument, built there in the 18th century. This industrial and scientific heritage gives the village a special appeal, combining history and rural life. The car boot sale is held in the village streets, a stone's throw from this listed site.
With a rate of 1 euro per linear meter, the Buffon car boot sale remains very accessible for exhibitors. Setup is possible from 6 a.m. Approximately 50 exhibitors participate each year, offering various objects, clothes, toys, and trinkets in a relaxed village atmosphere. The association, whose aim is to liven up the village and bring inhabitants together, ensures the smooth running of the day.
