Grand car boot sale flea market of the Foyer Rural de Pluvet, Place de l'Église and Grande Rue, May 1st
Every May 1st, the Foyer Rural de Pluvet takes over the Place de l'Église and the village's main street for a grand car boot sale and flea market. The event attracts between 50 and 100 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, who display their finds on the sidewalks and squares of this village in the Dijon plain.
Exhibitors are welcomed from 6 am with a free coffee offered by the volunteers of the Foyer Rural, an appreciated gesture at the start of this spring day. The rate of 2 euros per linear meter remains very affordable, allowing everyone to offer their items, clothes, toys, or trinkets at low prices. A carousel delights the youngest while parents browse the stalls.
Pluvet is a rural commune in the Dijon plain, near Genlis and the A39 motorway. The village, crossed by the departmental road, retains an authentic character with its church and stone houses. The May 1st car boot sale is a highlight of local community life, orchestrated by a dynamic Foyer Rural which also organizes the famous Nuit de l'Oignon (Onion Night), another village tradition.
