The car boot sale and street sale of Easter Monday in the center of Nouvoitou, near Rennes
Every Easter Monday, the center of Nouvoitou comes alive for its big car boot sale and street sale. Approximately 320 exhibitors take over the church square and adjacent streets from 7 am to 6 pm, offering a wide selection of clothing, furniture, toys, tableware, tools, books, and collectibles. The atmosphere is festive and family-friendly, with galettes-saucisses, fries, crepes, and a refreshment stand contributing to the conviviality of this spring day.
A commune of about 3,200 inhabitants located 14 km southeast of Rennes, Nouvoitou is a country town that has preserved its rural identity while attracting young families. Surrounded by hedgerows and agricultural land, the commune benefits from a particularly dynamic associative life. The Easter street sale is one of the main events on the local calendar, alongside the patron saint's festival and sports events organized throughout the year.
Private exhibitors set up freely from 6 am for a day of sales until 6 pm. The layout of the town center, with its wide streets and central square, allows for smooth circulation between the stalls. Entry is free for visitors, and the varied on-site catering allows for a full day of bargain hunting.
