Large car boot sale on May 1st on Avenue Trudaine in the 9th arrondissement
Every May 1st, Avenue Trudaine in the 9th arrondissement of Paris turns into a large car boot sale organised by SPAM. From 6am to 7pm, residents of the Saint-Georges, Anvers and Pigalle neighbourhoods set up stalls along this splendid Haussmannian avenue to offer clothing, books, toys, tableware and small furniture. A popular event on the spring public holiday.
On Friday May 1, 2026, the quiet Avenue Trudaine in the 9th arrondissement of Paris comes alive with a large annual car boot sale. From 6am, sellers install their stalls along this elegant tree-lined Haussmannian avenue until 7pm.
Organised by SPAM, the sale brings together local residents clearing out attics and wardrobes. Items include vintage and designer clothing, books, toys, tableware, small furniture and vinyl records.
Avenue Trudaine offers a rare setting: wide, tree-lined and in the heart of the trendy South Pigalle (SoPi) district, steps from Rue des Martyrs and Montmartre.
Pitches cost 22.50 β¬ per linear metre. May 1st being a public holiday, attendance is particularly strong.
