La Roquebrussanne Annual Flea Market

A flea market in a Provençal medieval village

La Roquebrussanne is one of Provence Verte's prettiest villages, at the foot of Mount Loube, with its medieval centre, Notre-Dame d'Inspiration chapel, small squares and fountains. Each summer, it hosts its annual flea market around Place Gueit and Chemin de la Foux. 2024: 4 August. 2026: Sunday 2 August announced.

Run by the festival committee and town hall, it enjoys a photogenic setting: sellers along alleys and squares, at the foot of stone façades, under plane-tree shade. Cicadas sing, coffee smells rise, hunters stroll quietly.

Place Gueit and Chemin de la Foux

Place Gueit is the village's main square, home to many events. Chemin de la Foux, along an ancient spring (la Foux), extends the route through quieter parts. Together they host many sellers while keeping circulation smooth.

Tips

Come by 8am before August sun heats the alleys. Hat, water, cash. Village cafés and an occasional refreshment stand provide catering. Thursday morning Provençal market sometimes complements the flea markets.

A Var 'Village de caractère'. Beyond the flea market: Saint-Sauveur church, pillory, medieval gates, Notre-Dame d'Inspiration chapel (30-min walk). Mount Loube's rocky chaos offers a 360° Provence Verte panorama — 2-hour return hike from the village.

Terroir

Côtes de Provence wineries open for tastings. Besse-sur-Issole pond, 10 min, offers summer freshness. Neighbouring Néoules, Garéoult, Mazaugues add their own summer events.
