The neighbourhood garage sale organised by the Régie de quartier, on avenue Pasteur and place du Bicentenaire
In the Vert-Galant neighbourhood, one of the residential areas of Tremblay-en-France (93290), the annual garage sale is an emblematic local event. Organised by the Régie de quartier, it brings together around a hundred resident-sellers each spring on avenue Pasteur and place du Bicentenaire-de-la-Révolution-française, between avenue Charles-de-Gaulle and rue de Flandres.
This garage sale has the distinctive feature of being exclusively animated by neighbourhood residents, selling their unwanted belongings: adult and children's clothing, toys, knick-knacks, books, records, crockery and all the treasures that Tremblay attics can contain. Seller registration closes approximately one month before the event. Entry is free for visitors, who can browse freely from 7am to 5:30pm.
The Vert-Galant Régie de quartier is a community organisation contributing to the social life of the neighbourhood. Organising this annual garage sale is part of a local reuse and solidarity approach, allowing residents to give a second life to their objects while funding neighbourhood projects.
