The Venarsal Plant Fair: the spring event

Every year in April, the village of Venarsal, attached to the commune of Malemort-sur-Corrèze, hosts its traditional plant fair and car boot sale. Organized by the Venarsal Beautification Committee, this spring event celebrates nature and gardening while offering a friendly car boot sale. From 9 am to 6 pm, visitors stroll between the plant stalls and the flea market stands in a rustic and warm atmosphere.

A plant market for all gardens

The fair offers a wide selection of vegetable plants, flowering plants, and aromatic plants to enhance gardens and balconies. Local producers and amateur nurserymen present their produce: tomatoes, lettuces, zucchini, aromatic herbs, geraniums, petunias, and many other varieties adapted to the Corrèze climate. Amateur gardeners can find valuable advice and quality plants at low prices.

Activities for the whole family

The program of activities enriches this event. A beekeeper shares his knowledge about the fascinating world of bees and hive products. The La Main Verte association leads a floral workshop open to children and adults. The Brive Ornithological Society exhibits magnificent bird specimens. Introduction to weaving workshops allow participants to discover this ancestral art. A singer accompanied by his barrel organ provides musical entertainment throughout the day.

Venarsal, a former village attached to Malemort-sur-Corrèze, retains a appreciated rural and green character. Its rolling landscapes, meadows, and orchards offer an ideal bucolic setting for this spring fair.
