July 14th Tradition: antique dealers and second-hand dealers on the Promenade des Marronniers
Every year around July 14th, the Promenade des Marronniers in Uzès transforms into a vast antiques and flea market fair. Around a hundred selected professionals exhibit furniture, paintings, jewelry, ceramics, antique textiles, and collector's items. This quality event, organized alongside national festivities, attracts collectors and art lovers from Languedoc and beyond.
For many years, the Promenade des Marronniers in Uzès has been the setting, around July 14th, for an antiques and flea market fair that ranks among the most beautiful in the Gard region. Organized by the City of Uzès, this event brings together about a hundred carefully selected professional antique dealers and second-hand dealers, coming from all over the region and beyond to present their finest pieces in the incomparable setting of the ducal city.
The stalls display exceptional richness: old and modern paintings, patinated furniture, jewelry and silverware, regional ceramics and earthenware, antique textiles, lighting, folk art and interior decoration objects, old posters, artistic ironwork, statuettes, vases, and garden furniture. The diversity of styles and eras represented ensures that every visitor, whether a seasoned collector or a curious onlooker, finds something to marvel at and, sometimes, to make a favorite acquisition.
Uzès is one of the most preserved towns in Languedoc, with its medieval duchy, its Tour Fenestrelle, its Saint-Théodorit cathedral, and its golden limestone streets. The Promenade des Marronniers, lined with century-old trees, offers a particularly pleasant promenade to stroll between the stands and negotiate beautiful pieces. Combined with the July 14th festivities – fireworks, parade, entertainment – the antiques fair is one of the highlights of Uzès' cultural calendar.
The event is open from 8 am to 7 pm over two days, with free admission for visitors. The antique dealers present guarantee a level of quality and authenticity of the pieces displayed, which distinguishes this fair from purely commercial events. It represents a rare opportunity to meet passionate professionals and discover objects from all eras for all budgets and tastes.
The 31st edition of the Uzès Antiques and Flea Market Fair will be held on July 13th and 14th, 2026, on the Promenade des Marronniers. Around a hundred professional antique dealers and second-hand dealers will exhibit furniture, paintings, jewelry, and collector's items in the setting of the ducal city, alongside national festivities. Free admission.
