Every year in May, the Union Sportive de Montmeyran organizes its annual car boot sale. This moment of village conviviality allows residents to lighten their attics while supporting local sports. The atmosphere is family-friendly, the stalls are varied, and the warm welcome from volunteers makes it a popular event.

Montmeyran, a village in the Drôme region in the Valence plain

Montmeyran is a village of about 2,200 inhabitants in the Drôme plain, located about fifteen kilometers south of Valence on the road to Crest. This rural village retains a strong agricultural character with its orchards and open plain. Its Romanesque church and ruined castle bear witness to a vibrant medieval past. Community life is active, driven by committed volunteers like those from the Sports Union.

A village car boot sale as we like them

The US Montmeyran car boot sale is like its village: simple, authentic, and friendly. Private sellers come to offer items accumulated over the years: clothes of all sizes, toys and board games, books and comics, dishes and kitchen utensils, trinkets and decorative objects. Admission is free and the atmosphere is relaxed.

Supporting local sports

The profits from the car boot sale are entirely reinvested in the Union Sportive de Montmeyran to fund its sports activities. Participating in this event is therefore doubly useful: getting rid of unnecessary items while supporting the association that enlivens the village's sporting life.
