Annual flea market in the heart of Urmatt in the Bruche valley
The Urmatt Flea Market is one of the traditional flea markets in Bas-Rhin that animate the Bruche valley every year. Held in the heart of the village, about thirty kilometers south-west of Strasbourg, it brings together many private and professional exhibitors who come to sell their treasures.
The stalls offer a beautiful diversity of items: antiques, furniture, porcelain crockery, crystal, knick-knacks, vinyl records, cassettes, CDs, books, comics, period clothing, old tools, tin toys, postcards, photographs, lamps, clocks, religious items, small equipment and Alsatian souvenirs.
Throughout the day, the bar and food stand run by the volunteers delight visitors with Alsatian specialties: grilled meats, fries, ham braised in Riesling, flammekueche, pretzels, local beers, Alsatian wines and homemade pastries.
Urmatt is a commune of about 1,500 inhabitants located in the Bruche valley, about thirty kilometers west of Strasbourg, halfway between Molsheim and Schirmeck. Crossed by the Bruche river and bordered by the foothills of the Vosges, the commune enjoys a remarkable natural setting.
