About Thionville Book Fair

The Thionville Book Fair, organized by Amnesty International, is a major cultural event in the city. For several days, the Espace Multifonctionnel hosts thousands of second-hand books, CDs, DVDs, and board games at low prices. The profits are donated to Amnesty International to support the defense of human rights.

A cultural and solidarity event

The Thionville Book Fair is organized each year by the local group of Amnesty International. For several days, the Espace Multifonctionnel transforms into a huge second-hand bookstore. Thousands of books of all genres – novels, thrillers, children's books, comics, documentaries, art books – are offered at very affordable prices.

A diverse cultural offering

Beyond books, the fair also offers music CDs, movie and TV series DVDs, board games, and video games. This diversity attracts a wide audience, from passionate readers to vinyl collectors, as well as families looking for games for their children.

Profits for human rights

All profits from the fair are donated to Amnesty International to fund its human rights defense actions worldwide. Buying a book at the fair is therefore also an act of solidarity.
