Summer town center flea market and car boot sale

Recap of the summer town center flea market – August 17th, 2025

On Sunday, August 17th, 2025, the town center of Châtillon-sur-Loire buzzed with its big summer car boot sale organized by the ECLAT association. From 7 am, at Place du Champ de Foire, Place Clémenceau, and Rue des Prés, some 150 exhibitors displayed their stalls under the August sun.

Visitors arrived in large numbers, taking advantage of this long day to rummage through stalls filled with second-hand items: light summer clothing, garden furniture, tableware, books, trinkets, and various treasures. The relative coolness of the morning gave way to the afternoon heat, but the enthusiastic treasure hunters held on until 6 pm.

The ECLAT association's refreshment stand provided drinks and light snacks throughout the day. The summer atmosphere of Châtillon-sur-Loire, with the Loire in the background, contributed to the special charm of this edition.

The next ECLAT summer flea market is scheduled for August 17th, 2026.
