Solidarity sale of clothes and accessories at the Jeanne d'Arc hall in Arinthod
Co-organized by Adapemont and Secours Catholique, the Arinthod Solidarity Sale offers every spring two days of sales of second-hand clothes, shoes, and accessories at low prices. The event is held at the Jeanne d'Arc hall, in the heart of this village in the Petite Montagne region of the Jura. The items come from donations collected at the Arinthod and Orgelet waste disposal centers. A solidarity initiative that gives a second life to clothes.
Every spring, the Jeanne d'Arc hall in Arinthod hosts the Solidarity Sale, an event co-organized by Adapemont and Secours Catholique. Over two days, this solidarity sale offers a wide selection of second-hand clothes, shoes, and accessories, carefully sorted and displayed, at very affordable prices.
The items for sale come from clothing donations collected at the Arinthod and Orgelet waste disposal centers. The Solidarity Sale is thus part of a dual approach: solidarity, by making fashion accessible to all budgets, and ecological, by giving a second life to textiles that would otherwise be thrown away. It's an opportunity to find unique pieces at very low prices while doing something good for the planet.
The sale takes place over two half-days: Friday afternoon from 3 PM to 6 PM and Saturday morning from 9 AM to 1 PM. This format allows everyone to find a time to browse through the racks and bins. Clothes for adults and children, shoes, bags, and accessories are offered in an organized and pleasant space.
Arinthod is the main village of the Petite Montagne, a rural and hilly area in the south of the Jura. The Jeanne d'Arc hall, located at 8 rue des Écoles, is a well-known venue for locals, hosting various community and cultural events. The Solidarity Sale has found a friendly, human-scale setting there.
In a rural area like the Petite Montagne, opportunities to find quality second-hand clothing are rare. The Solidarity Sale meets a real need by offering a wide selection of items at very low prices, accessible to all budgets. The initiative by Adapemont and Secours Catholique is part of a logic of circular economy: clothes deposited at waste disposal centers find a second life instead of ending up as textile waste. A simple gesture that benefits buyers, the environment, and local charities alike.
The Arinthod Solidarity Sale returns on April 24th and 25th, 2026, at the Jeanne d'Arc hall. Sale of clothes and accessories at low prices.
