Grand summer street sale in the Paramé-Rochebonne district of Saint-Malo, a Malouin tradition for decades
Every summer, the Paramé district in Saint-Malo (35400) hosts its famous street sale, a true local institution that attracts thousands of visitors. The event unfolds in the streets of the center of Paramé and along the boulevard de Rochebonne, facing the sea, offering an exceptional setting for bargain hunting. Local shopkeepers offer their end-of-season and clearance items, while individuals set up their stalls with clothing, toys, books, trinkets, and various objects. The atmosphere is festive and family-friendly, enlivened by refreshments and food available on site.
Paramé is a residential and seaside district of Saint-Malo, formerly a commune annexed to the corsair city in 1967. The district has a strong identity, marked by its Belle Époque villas, its large sandy beach, and its local shops. The boulevard de Rochebonne, which runs along the sea wall facing the ocean, offers a remarkable panorama of the Bay of Saint-Malo and the islands of Grand Bé and Petit Bé. The summer street sale perpetuates the commercial tradition of this dynamic district.
The Paramé-Rochebonne street sale is distinguished by its two-day duration — Saturday and Sunday — and the diversity of its offerings. Hundreds of exhibitors, both professionals and individuals, offer clothing, shoes, sports equipment, toys, books, tableware, decorations, and many other finds. The proximity of the beach and terraces allows visitors to alternate between bargain hunting and seaside relaxation.
