Each year, the village of Hombourg celebrates Labour Day with its Spring Festival Flea Market. The Gilbert Rusch sports complex is transformed into a vast browsing ground, with private sellers and professional dealers setting up from dawn. Open from 7 am to 6 pm.
Hombourg, a Rhine village on the doorstep of Basel
With its ~1,700 inhabitants, Hombourg is a Haut-Rhin municipality (68490) on the banks of the Rhine, just a few kilometres from Basel (Switzerland) and Saint-Louis. On market days, visitors from Germany, Switzerland and throughout Alsace converge on Hombourg. The 2026 edition takes place on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 7 am to 6 pm. Free admission.
