Sèvremont, new commune of Haut-Bocage

Formed in 2016 from four communes — La Flocellière, Les Châtelliers-Châteaumur, Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure and La Pommeraie-sur-Sèvre — nearly 5,000 inhabitants combined. Each old village keeps its own heritage identity. Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure is one of Vendée's highest points (Mont Mercure at 290 m).

Between bocage and Sèvre Nantaise

Named after its Sèvre Nantaise riverside position. Landscape of small valleys, hedges, hollow roads, woods, chestnut groves. One of Vendée's wildest, most preserved areas.
