International-health charity flea market
Santé Sans Frontière (SSF) is a humanitarian charity engaged in international medical missions. Its annual flea market (Saturday 13 June 2026) is a key fundraiser: all proceeds fund medical equipment, travel and training for SSF's missions.
A fine example of what Poitiers's associative world does best: combining community, hunting and solidarity. Beyond clearing attics, visitors support a cause, meet volunteers, learn about SSF actions.
Charity flea markets combine practical hunting (bargains, second life) with citizen engagement (direct cause funding). Every euro spent becomes a medicine vial, a care kit, training for a local carer.
Poitiers is a major university city for health. Its CHU, medical and pharmacy faculties make it a regional hub. Humanitarian engagement is dynamic with many active charities (MDM, MSF, SSF, AMI). SSF's market fits this ecosystem.
Poitiers (90,000 inhabitants) is labelled "City of Art and History". Monuments (Notre-Dame-la-Grande, Baptistery, Palace, Cathedral) coexist with 27,000 students and a rich charity fabric.
Bring cash. Reusable bag. Don't hesitate to give more than the asking price — every euro counts. Chat with volunteers at the SSF stand to learn more or join the team.
