The great summer rendezvous of the Pays Vaurais
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Halfway between Gaillac and Montauban, Salvagnac, perched on a rocky spur overlooking the Tescou Valley, hosts each late June its grand weekend flea market. Organised by the Comité des fêtes de Salvagnac, this event has become a key date in the Tarn brocante calendar.
A medieval bastide founded in the 13th century, Salvagnac charms with its preserved heritage: castle remains, Saint-Martin church, traditional halls, old stone and half-timbered houses. The village is also known for its centuries-old lime tree, listed as a Remarkable Tree of France.
Dozens of private sellers from the village, canton and neighbouring communes. Classic vide-grenier offer: clothing, toys, books, games, crockery, knick-knacks, vinyl, small furniture, decor, old linen. A few semi-professionals add regional brocante and antique furniture.
Refreshment area, small food stalls and musical entertainment often accompany the event, turning the day into a real village celebration.
The Gaillac vineyards, Rabastens, Montauban and the Tescou valley make for a complete rural escape.
ℹ️ 2026 edition not confirmed. At the time of our editorial verification (May 2026), we found no public source (organizer, town hall, aggregator, local press) announcing a 2026 edition of the Salvagnac flea market (Tarn). If you are the organizer and this flea market is indeed taking place, please let us know via the modification form.
Salvagnac is a hilltop village in the northwest of Tarn, in Pays Vaurais, halfway between Gaillac and Montauban. The commune traditionally hosts a flea market in the village center, where individuals and bargain hunters gather for a day of treasure hunting in a heritage setting. However, no 2026 date could be confirmed at the time of our verification (May 2026).
In past editions, exhibitors — mainly individuals — offered the usual assortment found at Tarn flea markets: bric-a-brac, clothes, toys, books, crockery, small furniture, and various trinkets. A refreshment stand run by volunteers usually accompanied the day, in a friendly atmosphere appreciated by bargain hunters.
Salvagnac overlooks the Vère valley, in this hilly sector of Tarn between the Gaillac vineyard and the causses. Visiting bargain hunters can extend their visit to Gaillac, Lisle-sur-Tarn, or Rabastens, or discover the bastides and hilltop villages in the surroundings. To find out about the possible holding of a future flea market in Salvagnac, we invite you to contact the town hall or the festival committee.
