The Sou des Écoles car boot sale in Saint-Jorioz is one of the unmissable events of autumn in Haute-Savoie. Every September, around 200 sellers set up on the village square and adjoining streets. This autumn gathering benefits from the mild late-season weather by Lake Annecy.
An exceptional setting between lake and mountains
Saint-Jorioz, on the western shore of Lake Annecy, provides a remarkable environment for this car boot sale. Stalls are set up just a few hundred metres from the lakeside.
200 sellers for every taste
With nearly 200 stalls, the sale offers a wide variety: clothing, toys, books and comics, tableware and decorations, small furniture, sports equipment, garden tools and knick-knacks.
A charitable event for schools
Organised by the Sou des Écoles, all proceeds are donated to local schools to fund school trips and educational projects.
