The 2025 edition of the Saint-Izaire Car Boot Sale was held on Friday, August 15th, Assumption Day, in the village streets and around the episcopal castle. Organized by the Vie et Château association, this day brought together about a hundred private exhibitors and many bargain hunters who came to enjoy the public holiday in the Dourdou valley. The stalls offered second-hand items, clothing, tableware, toys, and trinkets, while the castle courtyard hosted a refreshment stand, grills, and fries.
In 2025, the Saint-Izaire Car Boot Sale took over the streets of the fortified village and the surroundings of the episcopal castle for its traditional August 15th edition. The Vie et Château association welcomed around 100 exhibitors and numerous visitors from 9 am to 5 pm, in a remarkable heritage setting dominated by the red sandstone fortress of the former bishops of Vabres.
The stalls lined the village alleys and the squares surrounding the castle, offering the usual variety of Aveyron car boot sales: antique tableware and decorative objects, clothing for the whole family, toys, books, garden tools, small furniture, and various trinkets. A space dedicated to local crafts allowed visitors to discover the creations of artisans from the South Aveyron.
In the castle courtyard, the refreshment stand and the grill-fries stand offered visitors a moment of conviviality in a unique historical setting. Exhibitors benefited from free pitches with dedicated parking and coffee offered upon their early morning setup, in the generous spirit that characterizes this village event on the banks of the Dourdou.
