Flea market in the small wine-growing village of Rosenwiller, at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile
The Rosenwiller Flea Market takes place in a picturesque setting, in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard, between the slopes of the Vosges foothills and the Alsace plain. The village streets, lined with flowering half-timbered houses and wine cellars, offer a particularly pleasant browsing route. Private exhibitors display from the morning a wide variety of items: clothing, toys, soft toys, books, CDs, vinyl records, decorative trinkets, crockery, glassware, small furniture, household linen, gardening tools and decorative items.
Rosenwiller is a small village of around 800 inhabitants nestled at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile, a major Alsatian pilgrimage site, between Rosheim and Bischoffsheim. The village is surrounded by vines producing renowned Alsace appellation wines. Rosenwiller is also known for its historic Jewish cemetery, one of the oldest in Alsace, which testifies to the centuries-old presence of a Jewish community in the region. The exceptional natural setting — between Vosges forests, vines and orchards — makes Rosenwiller an appreciated walking destination and a village full of charm.
The Rosenwiller flea market stands out for its authentic village atmosphere. Far from the hustle and bustle of large urban flea markets, this is where you take the time to chat with exhibitors, gently haggle and savour a glass of Alsatian white wine or a plum tart at the refreshment stand. The volunteers of the organising association welcome visitors with warmth and good humour.
