Community flea market organized by the Foyer de l'Amitié around the Remauville church square
The Remauville Flea Market by Foyer de l'Amitié is the major annual event of this small rural municipality in southern Seine-et-Marne. Organized by the Foyer de l'Amitié association, it extends from the church square to the adjacent streets, transforming the entire village center into a vast bargain hunting area. From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., individuals and bargain hunters gather in an authentic village atmosphere, with refreshments and catering on site. Very affordable exhibitor rate of 2 euros per meter, without prior reservation.
In early May, the village of Remauville takes on the appearance of a vast treasure market on the occasion of its annual flea market. Organized by the Foyer de l'Amitié, a very active association in local life, this event has established itself over the years as one of the unmissable bargain hunting dates in southern Seine-et-Marne. The event takes over the church square and adjacent streets, creating a friendly route.
What distinguishes the Remauville flea market is its particularly welcoming formula for exhibitors: 2 euros per linear meter, without prior reservation. This simplicity attracts many individuals from surrounding villages every year, who appreciate being able to participate without complex administrative procedures. The first-come-first-served principle creates a lively morning atmosphere, with exhibitors setting up from 6 a.m. to choose their location.
The streets of Remauville host a great diversity of stalls: families emptying their attics, amateur dealers, collectors coming to unload their duplicates, retirees offering items carefully preserved for decades. You will find everything: antique and modern furniture, dishes, household linen, books, vinyl records, toys, clothes, tools, decorative items, postcards, jewelry, trinkets.
The Foyer de l'Amitié provides on-site traditional refreshments and catering, contributing to the festive atmosphere of the day. Sandwiches, fries, grills, cold drinks, coffee and pastries. Food professionals are not accepted, catering being reserved for the organizers.
Remauville is a discreet and preserved municipality of less than 400 inhabitants, located in the south of Seine-et-Marne, near Nanteau-sur-Lunain and Lorrez-le-Bocage-Préaux. This rural area of the Gâtinais offers a bucolic setting.
Coming to the Remauville flea market can be an opportunity to discover a little-known but charming corner of Seine-et-Marne. Nearby: Nemours and its castle, the Loing valley, the Gâtinais français regional natural park.
