Thennes Village Festival Réderie

A réderie at the heart of the village festival

Thennes, a small village of about 450 inhabitants 20 km south-east of Amiens in the Luce valley, holds its annual autumn village festival every year. Combined with this festival, the réderie takes place on Sunday 11 October 2026 on rue des Écoles. This combined format, typical of Picard communes, links traditional bargain hunting with village celebration in a single day.

The charm of the village réderie

On rue des Écoles, the village's main street, private sellers from Thennes and neighbouring communes set up from morning. You'll find classic bric-a-brac: rustic furniture, country tableware, tools, embroidered linen, books, toys, records, trinkets, second-hand clothing. The atmosphere is that of a true village réderie, on a human scale, where you take time to chat with sellers and haggle amicably. Prices are gentle and finds possible for those who take time to dig.

A family and convivial celebration

In parallel with the réderie, the Thennes festival committee offers traditional communal-festival activities: catering, drinks stand, possibly rides and children's games, inflatable structures, competitions or shows depending on the year. The day unfolds in a warm atmosphere, where residents come out to meet, chat and share a moment together. Outside visitors are welcomed warmly.

Thennes and the Luce valley

The Luce is a small tributary of the Avre flowing through a green, discreet valley in southern Amiens country. Thennes occupies a charming position on its banks, with its church, rural heritage and Picard brick houses. The commune belongs to the Avre Luce Noye Community of Communes. Access from Amiens is via the D934 or D1 (about 25 minutes). Nature and small-heritage lovers will enjoy extending their visit to nearby villages (Fouencamps, Boves, Moreuil).
