The Vignacourt Réderie: a major Val-de-Nièvre event

Vignacourt, a rural town of about 2,100 inhabitants located northwest of Amiens in the Val-de-Nièvre, organizes each spring a flea market that ranks among the most popular in the canton. With nearly 119 exhibitors, the event takes over the village centre for a full day.

A living Picard tradition

The word 'réderie', typically Picard, refers to what is called elsewhere a vide-grenier or flea market. In Vignacourt, as throughout the Somme, the réderie is an institution and social highlight.

What you can find on the stalls

The stands at Vignacourt are representative of a good village réderie: varied bric-a-brac, clothing, children's toys, books, vinyl records, grandmother's crockery, small furniture and curios.

Vignacourt, photographic memory of the Great War

Vignacourt gained international recognition in 2011 with the rediscovery of the Thuillier photographic plates, portraits of thousands of Allied soldiers passing through the village during WWI.

A day of hunting at village pace

From early morning, exhibitors set up on the pavements and squares of the centre. Around 8am, the first buyers arrive, coffee in hand, bags at the ready.
