Large annual réderie at the gates of Amiens
The Grande Réderie de Salouël is held on Sunday 20 September 2026 in this commune of the Amiens agglomeration. With about 700 exhibitors spread over 2,300 metres of stands, it is one of the Somme's largest réderies after those of Amiens itself. Open to private sellers and professionals (except food vendors), this major early-autumn event draws thousands of visitors. Free entry, fairground rides and on-site catering.
The Réderie de Salouël is an institutional fixture of the Picard calendar. Each September, this giant event transforms the commune of Salouël, on Amiens' southern outskirts, into a vast open-air flea market. The 2026 edition is set for Sunday 20 September. With some 700 exhibitors laid out over 2,300 metres of stands, it ranks among the department's largest réderies, just behind the legendary Amiens réderies.
The scale of the Salouël réderie makes it a special event. Private sellers and professionals are welcome, with food vendors the only exception (to leave room for local associations). Exhibitors come from all over the Somme, Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Seine-Maritime and Oise. Visitor flow is considerable from early morning. Seasoned hunters know you must arrive early to snap up the best pieces.
The offering is huge and varied: antique furniture, tableware, decorative items, paintings, jewellery, watches, toys, books, records, postcards, vintage clothing, trinkets, old tools, militaria and collectibles. Professional dealers mingle with private sellers clearing their cellars and attics, offering a complete view of the brocante world. Prices range from a few euros to triple-digit collectors' pieces.
For families, the Salouël réderie is also a great day out: rides and attractions for children are set up for the day, and local catering (hot dogs, pancakes, fries, hot and cold drinks) is provided by village associations. Admission is free. Plan for plenty of time — visiting the whole réderie can take half a day — and bring good walking shoes.
Salouël is a commune of about 3,800 inhabitants located immediately south of Amiens, at the crossroads of the Selle river and avenue du 8-Mai-1945. It is easily reached from the Amiens ring road. The réderie is part of the local associative fabric, carried by many volunteers.
