About Réderie Saint-Gratien

The Saint-Gratien Réderie is a popular event among bargain hunters of the Amiens agglomeration. Organized in this village about twenty kilometers northeast of Amiens, it takes the form of a large village flea market that invades the streets of the center on an autumn Sunday.

Saint-Gratien, a discreet Somme village

Saint-Gratien is a rural Somme town located about twenty kilometers northeast of Amiens, near Villers-Bocage and within reach of the Picard plateau. Less well known than its larger neighbors, it cultivates a discreet charm with its church, traditional farms and streets lined with brick houses. It is in this peaceful village setting that the annual réderie takes place every autumn.

The réderie, a living Somme tradition

The word réderie is specifically Picard and typical of the Somme department and the Oise borders. It refers to a large, popular flea market, often organized at the village or neighborhood scale, which mainly brings together individuals who have come to empty their attics, cellars or cupboards.

An authentic village atmosphere

What makes the charm of the Saint-Gratien Réderie is its village atmosphere. Exhibitors, often neighbors or acquaintances, chat from stand to stand. Visitors stroll peacefully, take the time to examine objects, bargain amicably. The village cafe stays open, a refreshment bar offers drinks and small meals.

What to find at the réderie

The offer is typically that of a village flea market: mismatched family crockery, antique linen, clothing for the whole family, shoes, bags, toys, books, comics, vinyl records, trinkets, family paintings, small tools, sometimes some furniture. Prices are deliberately low.

A Sunday outing in the Somme

Saint-Gratien is ideally located for a Sunday outing in the Somme: close to Amiens, near the Opal regional natural park, and not far from the Nièvre valley. Bargain hunters can complete their day with a visit to Amiens Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage) or a walk in the hortillonnages, the famous floating gardens.

Réderie Saint-Gratien — edition 2026

The 2026 Saint-Gratien Réderie takes place on Sunday October 25, 2026 in the village streets. A large Picard flea market organized at the village scale, in the tradition of Somme réderies, near Amiens.
