Bargain hunting by the Mediterranean in a pristine setting
Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer is one of the most discreet Var coastal villages, preserved by its small size and pine-friendly urbanism. In this exceptional setting, only metres from the shore, Saturday 25 April 2026 hosts the spring flea market in the heart of the village.
Run with local associations and the town hall, it targets village residents and the Maures corniche, and attracts Domaine du Rayol visitors and early season holidaymakers — especially those here for the 1 May bank holiday.
Mostly private: clothes, toys, books, crockery, knick-knacks, small furniture, beach and garden gear. The Mediterranean vibe shows on the stalls: Provençal linens, pottery, old nautical charts, small verandah furniture. A handful of local dealers may join.
Rayol-Canadel is best known for its Domaine du Rayol, "Jardin des Méditerranées", showcasing 20+ hectares of world Mediterranean flora. The village is a starting point for sea trips to Le Levant or Port-Cros. Its villas are listed as 20th-century heritage.
Reached via the D559 between Le Lavandou and Sainte-Maxime. Parking in the village centre and by the sea.
Saturday 25 April 2026, 8am to 5pm, village centre.
Mostly private sellers. Info via Rayol-Canadel town hall.
