Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer, on the peninsula closing Toulon harbour, combines military identity (naval base), seaside vocation and remarkable natural heritage. Its old village, confidential beaches and marina form a charming whole, away from the big tourist crowds.

The Sunday Quai d'Honneur flea market, run by the Comité des fêtes de Saint-Mandrier, is one of the regular local rendezvous. The 25 January 2026 edition opens the year beside the sea.

The Quai d'Honneur, a true belvedere over Toulon harbour, is an exceptional setting. Stalls face the port, with military and leisure ships behind. Generous winter sun and sea breeze make a particularly pleasant atmosphere.

Come from 7am for best deals. Dress for seaside January: warm jacket early, sunscreen later. Combine with port walk or old village visit.
