Haberdashery, antique fabrics and creative hobbies in the town hall garden in Saint-Chinian
The Puces des Couturières de Saint-Chinian are organized by the association Un Fil à la Patch in the town hall garden, 1 Grand Rue. Haberdashery, lace, antique fabrics, household linen, sewing machines and creative supplies are negotiated in a bucolic setting in the heart of the Saint-Chinian vineyards.
Each year, the association Un Fil à la Patch organizes the Puces des Couturières in the town hall garden of Saint-Chinian (34360), at 1 Grand Rue. This specialized market brings together sellers and buyers around a textile universe: antique haberdashery, lace, ribbons, fabrics, buttons, household linen, sewing machines and supplies for creative hobbies. A sewing machine repairer and seller is present to advise and restore vintage machines.
Nestled in a green valley between scrubland and vineyards, Saint-Chinian is a small wine-growing town renowned for its eponymous AOC. The plane trees along the promenade, the Clock Tower and the shaded alleys create a typically Languedoc setting. The town hall garden, a green haven in the center of the village, offers an ideal setting for these sewing flea markets that combine textile heritage and southern conviviality.
The Puces des Couturières attract lovers of patchwork, embroidery, knitting and creative sewing from all over the Biterrois region and beyond. Prices are affordable and discoveries are numerous: antique lace pieces, Provençal fabric remnants, vintage thread spools, and period patterns. The atmosphere is warm, conducive to sharing advice and tips among enthusiasts.
The Puces des Couturières return on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the town hall garden of Saint-Chinian. Haberdashery, fabrics, lace, and creative hobbies. Free admission.
