From mid-June to early September, the Parc des Étoiles in Craponne-sur-Arzon hosts the Puces Craponnaises every Sunday morning, organized by Craponne Animations. Open from 7 am to 12:30 pm, at a rate of €2/m without reservation, these Sunday flea markets bring together exhibitors and bargain hunters in a friendly atmosphere, with refreshments and pastries available on site.
Craponne-sur-Arzon, a medieval town perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Arzon valley in Haute-Loire, is known for its château des comtes de Polignac and its vibrant community associations. From mid-June to early September, the town offers flea market enthusiasts an unmissable Sunday event: the Puces Craponnaises, organized by the association Craponne Animations at the Parc des Étoiles, also known as the Chantegrenouille grounds.
Every Sunday morning from mid-June to early September (with exceptions), the Parc des Étoiles transforms into a vast open-air flea market. Exhibitors set up from 7 am on their designated spots, offering a wide range of items: antique tableware, tools, clothing, toys, books, trinkets, and furniture. The market closes at 12:30 pm, leaving the entire morning for visitors to browse at their leisure.
The Puces Craponnaises are distinguished by their accessibility: no reservation is required, and exhibitors can set up freely at a rate of €2 per linear meter, with unlimited width and a maximum depth of 2 meters. This simple system encourages spontaneous participation from individuals wishing to clear out their attics or amateur flea market sellers looking to sell their finds.
Craponne Animations ensures a friendly atmosphere at the market by offering refreshments with hot and cold drinks, as well as pastries. Restrooms are also available on site. The large parking area near the site facilitates access for both exhibitors and visitors. The green setting of the Parc des Étoiles, on the edge of the medieval town, provides a pleasant environment for this summer morning market.
The Puces Craponnaises return every Sunday morning from mid-June to early September 2026 at the Parc des Étoiles. 7am-12:30pm, €2/m, no reservation, refreshments available on site.
